I am getting serious about photography, and i have been asked for christmas ideas, i would like to know if there is anything in particular that i should ask for, like cool lenses, etc. thanks! i have a Canon Rebel XS, so far i have asked for a fisheye lens.thank you, i actually have a tripod. and i have been thinking about the macro lens, the MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Photo. and i'm glad to know that about the fisheye, because i know its pretty expensive.

I want to get a SLR camera and I am debating between these 2. This would be my first SLR camera and I need some help picking them out. Everyone in my family has a canon so i could just share lenses with them right? That way I don't need to buy anything but a 10 ml lens. Right? OK well anyway, I need your opinion and an overall view of which one is better. Thanks!

I am thinking about asking for a Canon Rebel XS for Christmas. I'm worried that if I drop it by accident it will break. How durable is the Canon Rebel or just SLR'S in general? What would happen if I dropped it? If a professional photog or someone withe expirince with this could answer that would be great, thanks!

Do digital SLR'S break easily?
I'm thinking of getting a Canon EOS Rebel XS 18-55IS DSLR, and I notice on the site it lists the camera and the lens as two separate pieces, does this mean that the camera is compatible with other lenses as well, if I wanted a more powerful zoom later on?
