accept it." DOWD (9/13/09): I've been loath to admit that the shrieking lunacy of the summer—the frantic efforts to paint our first black president as the Other, a foreigner, socialist, fascist, Marxist, racist, Commie, Nazi; a cad who would snuff old people; a snake who would indoctrinate kids—had much to do with race. I tended to agree with some Obama advisers that Democratic presidents typically have provoked a frothing response from paranoids—from Father Coughlin against F.D.R. to Joe McCarthy against Truman to the John Birchers against J.F.K. and the vast right-wing conspiracy against Bill Clinton. But Wilson's shocking disrespect for the office of the president—no Democrat ever shouted ''liar'' at W. when he was hawking a fake case for war in Iraq—convinced me: Some people just can't believe a black man is president and will never accept it.

Is Maureen Dowd right when she says "Some people just can't believe a black man is president and will never"?
So far as I can tell, the cries of racism from the left began just after last weekend's 'tea party' protest in DC, starting with a NYT column by Maureen Dowd. After that it spread like wildfire throughout the left-leaning news media, following the NYT as usual. Obama says he doesn't believe racism is an 'overriding issue' in the current debate over healthcare/deficit spending/whatever. But is it possible, or even likely that the 'racism' issue is a last-ditch attempt by the left to dismiss opponents of the healthcare bill as a bunch of racists? Do you suspect the white house has actually pushed the 'racists' strategy on their friends in the press? Lord knows I do.

Does the 'racists' strategy come straight from Rahm Emmanuel?
And then have his liberal media pals (Maureen Dowd) accuse those who suspect Barry of being a socialist as racist. Birds of a feather flock together!lawgirl Idoubt you have ANY friends. Very bitter!Cheer up Miss Bitter!

Why does Barry have so many socialist buddies?
Charles Krauthammer on Maureen Dowd’s racist assumption of racism in people opposing Obama. quote: " You know, the accusation of racism is a sign of desperation by people who know they are losing the national debate. and they want to hurl the ultimate charge in American politics. This is dealing from the bottom of the deck and I agree that it is a disgusting tactic. It's done as a way to end debate. The minute you call somebody a racist, the debate is over, you don't continue. I mean accusations of racism are the last refuge of the liberal scoundrel. As for Maureen Dowd, imagining a word that wasn't said ...well in my previous profession I saw a lot of people who also heard words that weren't said. But they were called patients. And many of them were actually helped with medication. The reason that she won't be, and others who are hurling the accusations, is because it's a deliberate attempt to change the subject and discredit the opposition with an unprovable and unproven ad hominem." http://storyballoon.org/2009/09/15/charles-krauthammer-on-maureen-dowds-racist-assumption-of-racism-in-people-opposing-obama/ Well said, Charles, well said. DO YOU AGREE?

Accusations that people who oppose Obama are racist is a dirty tactic by liberals says Krauthammer. He's right?
Jimmy Carter, Maureen Dowd, and others have called Joe Wilson a racist. The White House says hold on a minute, that was not racist. Here i what was said and the White House response: "I've been loath to admit that the shrieking lunacy of the summer ... had much to do with race," she wrote. "But Wilson's shocking disrespect for the office of the president -- no Democrat ever shouted 'liar' at W. when he was hawking a fake case for war in Iraq -- convinced me: Some people just can't believe a black man is president and will never accept it." Dowd wrote that Wilson "clearly did not like being lectured and even rebuked by the brainy black president presiding over the majestic chamber." Asked about the claim, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said race is not the factor. "I don't think the president believes that people are upset because of the color of his skin," he said on CNN's "State of the Union." "I think people are upset because on Monday we celebrate the anniversary of the Lehman Brothers collapse that caused a financial catastrophe unlike anything we've ever seen." Dowd's charge of racism is hardly the first to be leveled against administration critics. Most recently, Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., was quoted in early September saying that "bias" and "prejudice" are behind a lot of the public opposition to health care reform. So are democrats freely throwing the race card out there to try to silence critics?

Why is President Obama dismissing that Joe Wilson's comment was racist?
Claiming Racism when there is none, is WORSE than Racism... The Left, as their Agenda Fails around EVERY Corner, even with 3/3's Control, have now digressed to Objectively Dishonest claims of "Racism" whenever this President is taken to Task... Be it his being called a Liar by Joe Wilson, NOT unlike what Harry Reid said about (43) and Refused to Apologize for, or what the Democrats did to (43) by Booing and Heckling him in an ACTUAL State of the Union. There are also the Claims of "Racism" by the Left and their "Free Press" because of Portrayals of Obama as Hitler or the Joker... ALL of these things were done to (43) FIRST... And were NEVER Considered Racist. It doesn't even make sense to call someone Racist for Comparing either Bush or Obama to Hitler... But I assure you, the ENDLESS Comparisons of (43) to a Chimp or a Monkey would CERTAINLY NOT fly in this Political Environment against Barry. And that's where the REAL Racism is. The Dishonest Accusers of Racism who themselves have said and done almost ALL of these things to another President, only now to Cry Racism when it is done to theirs because he has Half African Blood in his Veins. The Peak of this Dishonesty was Maureen Dowd adding "Boy" into "You Lie"... This is EXACTLY how the Left Views this World... It is why their Actual Racism in Practice, the Bigotry of Low Expectations, is continued to be pushed by Democrats and Liberals, even after a "Black Man" as Achieved the Most Powerful Office in the World. Liberals Assuming Failure on Minorities IS Racist... Comparing Barry and the Democrats actions to what Hitler did, and giving Substance to it, is the Furthest thing from it! What say you?

Claiming Racism when there is none, is worse than racism?
--Rick Moran The sanctimonious Jimmy Carter is lecturing America again about how scummy we are. This time, he accusing you, dear readers, of being closet Kluxers - racist pigs - for opposing anything our Dear Leader does. "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man," Carter said. "I live in the South, and I've seen the South come a long way, and I've seen the rest of the country that share the South's attitude toward minority groups at that time, particularly African Americans." Carter continued, "And that racism inclination still exists. And I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of the belief among many white people, not just in the South but around the country, that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply." Carter has always had that magical ability to peer into the souls of men and glean their intent - as all liberals possess to some degree. It's why they can play the race card with impunity. They just KNOW that opposition to Obama is based solely and exclusively on the color of his skin. There simply is no other explanation because, how can you oppose a liberal? How can anyone oppose a BLACK MAN? If Obama was truly concerned about being "post racial," he would condemn Carter in the strongest possible terms. But he won't. And the reason he won't is because Carter, Maureen Dowd, and other liberals who are accusing the right of being racist are helping him. Playing the race card - at the moment - is politically profitable for the president. It unites his base by giving those who support him the feeling that they are morally superior to the opposition. It is also the most damaging epithet one can hurl at the opposition. The stink is impossible to remove - which is the whole point. Delegitimzing any - and I mean any - opposition to President Obama by dismissing the people who are against him by accusing them of being on the same plane as the Klu Klux Klan is monstrously unfair. There is no comeback to the charges. If you open your mouth in your own defense, you supposedly prove their point. And if you remain quiet, silence equals assent. You are well and truly trapped in the briar patch set up by unscrupulous, dishonest, and immoral dogs who know full well the charges are not true, but make them anyway. And it's damned effective. It will affect moderates and independents who don't know any better and do not want to be seen as consorting with racists. We must demand that President Obama make it absolutely clear that the patriots who marched on 9/12 as well as others who oppose him, do so not because of his race but because we strenuously disagree with the direction he is taking the country. And he must condemn all of his supporters who so casually, and so viciously attack their opponents so unfairly and with so little cause. Not that he will do anything about it. But at least we'll be able to reveal Obama as the cynical, political manipulator he truly is. What say you?

So fellow Republicans, Jimmy Carter says we're racist?
What a great opportunity for WE THE PEOPLE to express our point of views that should have little to do with bi-partisanship. There is good and there is bad behaviour that we expect of our legislators and the manner in which they spend our tax money. Speak up America, while you still can. This 62 year old former 9 year Marine having served two tours in Vietnam honestly thought, up until about 18 months ago, that I was done fighting for the freedoms of the people of other nationsand our own. Particularly after the disgust I felt for our nation when we quit the South Vietnamese people and at least 2.5 million more died after we yellowed our way out of Dodge. I guess it is true: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." I remember throwing up on my shoes when I happened to turn on the summer olympics going on in Atlanta, Ga. I think in 1996 and saw Jane Fonda, Bill Clinton and Cassius Clay on the same stage. I know, I know, I like Muhammed Ali too and especially his great dancing and fighting daughter just not his politics. Kind of like the prez, hard not to like but his nasty politics is costing him respect that he thinks should come with skin color. Apparently. Should we ask Charlie Rangel, Maureen Dowd, that beleagured governor of NY and so many more? Soon Mark Lloyd, Obama's czar at the FCC will begin enforcing Obama's mandates on broadcasters....localization (a lot of mandated local content) and a fine that equals a year's worth of the cost of doing business...to be repeated as long as compliancy is an issue. Get armed America. Washington DC was great last weekend. The new WWII Memorial, I had never seen before, is pretty cool too. I saw the Prez take off in Marine One (although there is always an accompanying decoy) and didn't know which one to flip off. So I used both hands and hope I didn't upset his carriers, my fellow Marines whom I do respect. Open up America, that is the very least you can do. Do not wait until we hit the enforcement stage of his amoral atheistic, socialist policies? Carry signs of protest outside your local medias if they are not presenting the "the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth". Do what you need to do to show congress that we are awake. Far too many are still gaming at partisan politics. I give up Evan Bayh and Dick Lugar.....who do you throw in the pot?For Janice: My 2nd tour, what I re-enlisted for, Vietnamese Language School, 47 weeks, 6 hours/day and I got to know good people from that country in that country and in this country. I hold deep resentment for those who saw to this atrocity and I am a non-violent Christian who knows initimately, the one who doth repay.

So if the Prez is intercepting this on line communication, what would you like him to know?
That makes him a racist, right? The fact that he never said boy makes no difference. If liberals want to play the race card, we just interject whatever it takes to justify it. Can you believe this passes for journalism. The NYT wonders why their circulation is dying? They have to be kidding.Captain cold. Do your own homework. If you don't want to, don't respond to the thread.
