I use Neat Receipts to scan virtually everything (on a Mac).?
I'm 16, and I've been buying things from one day deal websites to sell on ebay. But for the past few weeks there has been nothing good on the websites. Yesterday I have ran out on my last Neat Receipts Scanner that they have sold on woot.com THE IMPORTANT PART: Can anyone give me a website to buy things from and sell on ebay. Or at least give me an advice. Thanks!

How to sell on ebay?
We are in the service industry and we have a customer who has given us quite a lot of volume of work, although actual sales and profit is marginal as they pretty much dictate what we can charge in labor and parts. In the grand scheme of things they don't make up a large portion of our overall sales, yet they demand an awful lot in the way of paperwork, follow up, guidelines, administration etc. Every little repair has to be approved beforehand which causes jobs to drag out and adds time and money to have to return to each job site after approval is given. Anyway, today they asked us about several open jobs. We had actually closed the jobs, invoiced them, and emailed or faxed them over and gotten confirmation from them that they were received. I decided to write the guy an email pointing this out, basically stating that we try our best to follow through and not have "missing" paperwork. ON the one hand I was trying to convince him that we are trying our best not to leave things hanging, but on the other hand I was gently pointing out that they had already once told us they received the paperwork. He responded that it didn't matter if we had sent it previously, that they were too busy to confirm receipt of each invoice and to just send the paperwork again anyway. Of course, I sent the paperwork again (opened the files, found the invoices, undid the staples, placed the papers on the scanner, emailed them, re-stapled, re-filed.) I spent all afternoon of my time doing something that we had already done. I do not know how to respond to him, as I don't want to make him so angry that they "fire" us but on the other hand a little humility on his part or some kind of compensation for the aggravation I had to go through would be nice. How would you respond to him?

How would you handle this scenario with a customer?
Today at a store, I saw someone who got something from the store that they did not buy and took it to customer service and tried to get store credit for it. I'm not sure if he ended up getting it or not, as I had to leave, but I'm just wondering, how is it possible? Don't people get in trouble for that, when they pick something from the store, tell the customer service people that they lost the receipt, and get credit for it? Doesn't the store have those scanner things where it tells you if the item has been purchased or not, even if all the same items have the same bar code? Isn't there something to tell if the item has been purchased or not, if no receipt is present and people get store credit for it?

Can someone explain this store credit policy?
I have a Panasonic KX-P1150 dot matrix printer, which we have used at my office for a long time. Well the printer is only about 6 months old, but we use the dot matrix style due to ink is cheaper and we print alot of receipts for our customers with it. Last week I attempted to install a HP Officejet printer/fax/scanner which I use for my fax machine, but we needed it for printing other types of documents. I had trouble w/installing that HP and since the attempt, my dot matrix is not printing correctly. When it prints, the information prints slightly on top of each other, and also the words are larger than they should be making it hard for my customers to read it! It still prints, but its as if I have some how changed the font on it only when I print something from a website, which is where my receipt information comes from. I can go into my documents and print anything I have saved there without a problem. Can anyone help me to figure out the settings on this thing? or anything may be helpful!

Why wont my printer print correctly?
I have a large amount of papers sitting on my desk and shelves and I definitely need to get rid of them. It would be very practical to have them on digital format, so I could store them on the computer or DVDs. However, I don't have time neither patience to scan each of those pages and organize them. Having in mind that my budget is also not that generous, what would you suggest me to do? Friends have told me to go to stores like Fedex Kinko's or Staples, and I've checked them out but they charge .99 cents each page. I can't! I'm quite sure I have more than 300 pages to be scanned! I was also suggested a receipt scanner machine... but they are somewhat expensive and would require me to sit and do the job... Do you have any ideas on how to resolve this problem without going bankrupt? Thank you!!!!

are stores required to give itemized receipts? we live in a small town and the merchants at the local grocery store claim they 'don't give itemized receipts'. they don't have scanners, they just punch in the price listed on the item... sometimes items don't even have a price tag on them! how do i know i'm not being taken advantage of? yea, i know, don't shop there, but we're really living out in the boonies here!

Im starting up as a sole trader-self employed and have borrowed some money off relatives to buy necessary equipment for my business....such as a net book, tomtom, scanner....and have kept all receipts. I have not yet registered as self employed and was wondering if i can still put them in my tax relief diary and claim tax relief on the items even thought they were brought before my business began???

Can i claim on business expences before ive registered my business?
