I stayed those 3 months and paid the rent and all of my utilities and everything. I lost my job and instead of renewing my lease I told my landlords that I would be moving out because I couldn't afford to stay there anymore. So I packed and moved out on December 2nd (1 day before my lease was up) and left the place squeaky clean. Then I had my mailing address changed and left my new address for the landlords so that they could mail me my security deposit back. I paid $550 for the security deposit (as noted in the lease). Two weeks had passed and I was starting to get nervous so I talked to my sister and she told me that the landlords MUST give me my security deposit back within 30 days (as long as there is no damage to the property and I paid the rent). However when I called the landlord he was being very evasive. He was saying that he needed to talk to the other 2 of my landlords and 'go over their books' and discuss it with them. But there is nothing to discuss! Then he tried to say that since he was out of town when I moved out that he did not have enough notice and that he and I had a verbal agreement that I would give 30 days notice to when I move out and now he cannot rent the apartment to anyone, so he has no money coming in. But I definitely never remember verbally agreeing to 30 days... my boyfriend was with me during this whole process and he does not remember either... and it is NOT in the lease. I read the lease yesterday to make sure. The other day I had my mom call the landlords to try to get my security deposit back and he was saying the same thing to her... that I did not give him enough notice and that I was to give 30 days... and then he kept saying that we verbally agreed and then he tried to say that it's in the lease... but it's not. *** SO WHAT CAN I DO??? *** I really do not want to take legal action because that will take too long and I really need that money. So what should I do? What should I say to him?

I'm trying to get my security deposit back from my landlords. How can I get it back from them quickly?
My girlfriend recently got bitten by a horse, when I took her to the hospital they treated her like she had been bitten by any other common animal. ie...dog, cat, etc...... I have spent my entire life on a large farm but never around horses until I met my girlfriend who has a small horse farm. Needless to say I don't know much about horses, but I know enough about them to know that they are very strong animals. I am asking this question because the hospital did not treat her right, they treated her like she was faking her pain, they labeled her as "having anxiety". Anyway to finish this up I would like truth full answers only with links to your source, that way I can take the info to the hospital and tell them how bad they have screwed up.
